If
you have subscribed to one or more of the WIT Journals
and opted for the additional feature of free online access
to your subscribed journal(s), you have the ability to
download any papers from those Journal, FREE of CHARGE.
When you took out your subscription, if
you opted for the online access feature you will have
been issued a username and password for your account.
You can use these details to login using the login
page.
If you have a subscription but did not
opt for the online access feature, please contact us
to have your account setup. You will need to complete
an electronic access license form before we can create
your account.
After you have logged into your account,
you can then use the Download
Papers and Search For Papers features
of the web site to download copies of papers from your
subscribed journals.
When starting at the Download
Papers page of the web site, you will see a list of WIT
journals and a status indicator for each. For any journal
you are subscribed to, you will see a clipboard icon that
indicates you are a subscriber and have free access to papers
for that journal.
For Journals you are not subscribed to
you will see a Yellow Dollar icon that indicates you
can only access papers from that journal by purchasing
them individually, and you should review the Pay
Per Download Access section above.
Institutional Subscriber
Access Features
For subscribers who are part of an institution,
you have other options available to you for your subscription.
Again, these are provided as part of your subscription
fee.
IP Authentication:
If your institution has a network and a static
IP address range, we can configure your online account
to automatically log ANY number of computers on your network
into your subscription account in order
to access
the papers of your subscribed journal free of charge, whenever
they visit the web site.
When using this feature, the Pay
Per Download feature is not
available for any unsubscribed journals. In order for
a user on your network to purchase individual
papers from an unsubscribed journal, they must use the
'Switch Account' link at the top of the page to log into
their own personal Pay Per Download Account.
Off Site Remote Account Access:
With an IP Authenticated Account, you also
have the option to setup and configure individual 'Remote
Access' accounts for members of your institution so
that they can access papers under your subscription
from home.
This involves setting up user accounts
in your administration panel and specifying login names
and id's. People can then use these details to login
and access papers from your subscribed journal, free
of charge
from home.
Using this feature, as with any machines
logged in via IP Authentication, Pay Per
Download is
Disabled for any non-subscribed journals. The user must
login to their own personal account in order to purchase
papers from the unsubscribed journals.
