WIT Press publishes a collection of journals that are available in print and digital format. Each journal is published quarterly with four issues per volume released every year.

All papers within each issue are available to download individually from this website, with subscribers having the added benefits of receiving a print copy of each issue and having online access to all back issues of the subscribed journal.

No. All the papers on this website can be downloaded without a subscription on a Pay Per Download basis provided that users have registered. Registering for a WIT Press Journals account is free of charge.

To register for a WIT Press Journals account, users need to have a valid email address that can be used to activate the account. Registering is free of charge.

After completing the form, an activation email will be sent. Once received click on the link within the email and login as instructed.

Once registered, activated and logged in users will be able to browse, purchase and download journal papers individually.

Open Access papers require an account but are free of charge to download.

To purchase a paper from the WIT Press Journals website, users must have a registered account and be logged in. The steps below outline the process of purchasing a paper.

1. Login to your WIT Press Journals Account.
2. Browse through the journals and find a paper you would like to download.
3. Add the paper to your shopping cart by clicking on the trolley icon.
4. You will be taken to your shopping cart and the paper you have selected will be shown.
5. You may now close the shopping cart and add more papers by repeating steps 1 and 2 or click the ‘Proceed to Secure Payment’ button.
6. When you click the ‘Proceed to Secure Payment’ button you will be redirected to our payment provider World Pay. Please follow their on screen instructions to complete the payment process.
7. Once the payment is complete you will be returned to the WIT Press Journals website where you will be able to download purchased papers from the ‘My Account’ section of the website.

Purchased papers can be downloaded for a period of 24 hours after payment.

Pay Per Download is the standard, non-subscription account. It allows users to access papers from all journals.

A Pay Per Download account, as the name suggests, requires users to pay for every paper they wish to download. The site provides a shopping cart facility which allows papers to be added to it. Users can then proceed to a secure checkout where papers can be paid for by credit or debit card. Once payment has been authorised, users will be granted access to download the selected papers for a period of 24 hours.

Open Access is a service WIT Press provides to authors that allows them to have their papers freely accessible to download.

Authors pay a set fee in order to have their papers available free of charge to all registered members of the website.

Any paper that has the Open Access icon next to it is free to download, but users must have a registered WIT Press Journals account. Registering is free of charge.

There are a number of benefits to being a subscriber of a WIT Press journal:

• 4 printed issues per year
• Unlimited online access to papers within the subscribed journal
• Online access to all back issues within the subscribed journal

Subscriptions run for a period of one year after which renewal is required.

When you subscribe to a WIT Press Journal you will have the option of gaining online access to digital versions of the subscribed journal.

When you opt to have online access, you will be provided with a username and password that will allow you to login to your WIT Press Journals account.

When logged in and browsing users will see the subscription icon next to the journal to which they are subscribed. This indicates that the papers may downloaded free of charge.

To download a paper, click on the download paper link which appears on the right side of the screen when viewing the abstract.

Journals to which users are not subscribed will display the shopping cart icon. Papers within those journals can be downloaded on a Pay Per Download basis.

Institutional Subscription Access

Institutional journal subscribers such as colleges, universities or companies have the added option of providing online access to subscribed journal papers across their entire institution.

For example, an entire campus can be granted access by means of identifying users coming from specific networks or locations on the internet. This allows users located within the allocated sites to download papers from subscribed journals free of charge without the need to login.

The method by which this service is provided is called IP Authentication and is detailed in the ‘What is IP Authentication?’ section below.

Institutional subscribers also have the ability to create Remote Access Accounts to allow their users access to subscribed journals when away from the institution. Details of Remote Access are explained below.

IP Authentication is a system which allows subscribed users to automatically be logged into their subscription accounts when they visit the WIT Press Journals website. It is for use only with companies and institutions wishing to take out a site subscription allowing a number of computers on their network to access the journal papers freely via the institution’s main subscription account.

If an institution has a network and a static IP address range, we can configure their online account to automatically log any number of computers on a network into their subscription account in order to access the papers of subscribed journals free of charge.

With an Institutional Subscription, users have the option to setup and configure individual 'Remote Access Accounts’ for their members so that they can access papers using their subscription off site.

Remote Access Accounts can be added via the ‘My Account’ section when logged in as the Institutional Subscription administrator.
